TMNT Movie Updates

For the last week, the 15 second clip from Michael Bay talking at Nickelodeon Upfront has overshadowed anything and everything else going on Ninja Turtles.  People have been reacting out of fear from the words “The Turtles come from an Alien Race”.  As soon as I saw this clip I knew this was going to make waves, and that it did.  Fans have been speaking up from all over, fans are coming out of the shadows who we haven’t met before to say how much this news angers them.  For the past week, I’ve been waiting for someone official to say some real news to help ease the fears and anger that has crowded the fandom.

Review: TMNT Shell Shock Grand Opening!

On March 17th, 2012, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans crowded into Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America to help break a World Record of people dressed up like Ninja Turtles.  For a few months now, we have been promoting that the Cowabunga Corner Crew will be at this event and we were, in full force.  With help from friends Fugitoid, Tokka, TurtleNinja, Draco and my mother, Claudia, we had people throughout the crowd to help cover this amazing story in video, photos and written reviews.

TMNT : Why not Aliens?

Retiring a part of my TMNT History

In 1993, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were still going strong in Michigan, with the third movie coming to theaters it was an exciting time.  By this point my family had been doing parties as the Party Turtle for two years. Though my costume began to look very worn out from age and me being over active in the suit, so it was time to make a new one.  The new costume was finished in less than a week, as it was worked on by my dad, mom and I.  We were happy to have it done on March 19th, the same day TMNT III came to the theaters.  19 years later, and that costume is now up for retirement.

Review: Shell Shock in Nickelodeon Universe

For the last few months, we have been talking big time about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles new ride coming to Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America.  Well as mentioned yesterday, the time has arrived for this awesome ride as Turtle fans are gathering to see the ride go into action. A few of us went to the park a day early to explore and see what all is offered and to our surprise, there was a light opening for the TMNT ride so people there could give it a try.   This gave the workers a chance to work the kinks out before the real Grand Opening.

TMNT World Record

Here on Cowabunga Corner we’ve been excited over the last several weeks with news of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Shock Thrill ride here at Nickelodeon Universe!   This is the first Ninja Turtles Thrill Ride EVER!  And to make the opening of this ride an even bigger event, they decided to set a goal for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans to gather for a world record breaking event.  The goal was to bring over 786 people to the Mall of America so that we can dress up like the Ninja Turtles to break the Guinness World Record set in 2009!

Shell Shock is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a big day for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles History as the new Thrill Ride at Nickelodeon Universe is finally opening!  We’ve been hearing about this ride for months now, seeing production photos coming from different websites.  We even got to interview the Park Director of Marketing!

One Year of Nick TMNT Images!

One year ago, Nickelodeon released the very first image showing us the design for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  At that time the Turtles still had two toes, though the rest of the design looks a lot like the Turtles we’re seeing now.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shell Shock Interview

In 1984, the very first Ninja Turtle comic hit the shelves as a joke. Though this crazy idea turned into one of the biggest franchises in the 1980’s and 1990’s.  From toys, movies, cartoons, toothbrushes, blankets, dolls, shoes, bikes and so much more, it seemed like everywhere you turned there was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The wait of a new TMNT Film

Movies are something that people put a lot of hope into.  This one thing that takes a lot of work and a lot of money, in the hopes of millions of people going to see.  They are one of the few joys that people still get excited about in these hard days of unemployment and depression.  Many big cities, like Detroit, are falling apart as businesses are closing down.  Yet if you go to a movie theater, no matter what city you’re in, there is always people there.  What makes movies so appealing?  Why will we line up to see films that last only 2 hours when we can watch a TV series that last so much longer, with more character growth, comedy and action?  Whatever the reason, it leaves people asking me all the time “When is the new Ninja Turtle movie coming out?”  “What do you think the new Ninja Turtle Movie will be about?”
