MME2014 Black Nerd Comedy Panel

Midwest Media Expo is a new event in Detroit which had a lot of great panels going on, with fun guests.  A guest I got to spend a lot of time talking with, was Andre from “Black Nerd Comedy”.  He got a panel on Saturday night which was a blast.  Here I show an edited down version of his panel, cutting a few things with reason.  This is a fun panel, with a lot of laughs and his introduction the Michigan drink called “Faygo”.  Check out the “Black Nerd Comedy” Panel!

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT "TCRI"

TCRI

In the first two episodes of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rise of the Turtles, we learn of the Kraang.  Some aliens that have come to Earth, brought the Mutagen and have kidnapped April O’Neil’s father.  Up to this point, we have seen the Kraang are kidnapping and working with Scientists with Mutagen.  Though their plot has not been revealed, as the main reasons the Turtles are fighting them is to save April’s father, Kirby.  We went 16 episodes waiting to learn why the Kraang are here.  Only knowing that they are up to no good.  In the episode TCRI we finally learn the secret behind the Kraang’s.  Here is my review of this action packed adventure through the TCRI building.

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT "Never Say Xever"

Since the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has started up a lot people have felt some of the lessons in the show has been a bit harsh.  With Splinter talking about “causing lots of harm” and “fight to win not fairness”.  So when this weeks episode aired, “Never say Xever”, one had to wonder what Splinter’s thoughts was going to be when Leonardo let’s the Purple Dragon’s run away from a fight?  Is Splinter going to agree with Raphael or confirm Leonardo’s actions?  That’s just one of the subjects that I will cover in this week’s review of the new Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series.

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Theme

When I first heard of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the cartoon was already on the market. So right away I was introduced to a theme song for the TMNT. I loved the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme, and to this day it remains my favorite version of any Ninja Turtle theme song. Every song since then I had to get use to. The Next Mutation theme is my second favorite, even though it’s sort of rap, it was short and easy to learn. I never got into the remixed versions of the original theme song. The 4Kids themes were good, but still took awhile to learn and was nowhere near as catchy as the original theme. So what of the new Nickelodeon theme song? Have you heard it? If not check it out:

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Website

In 2009, the news of the sale of Ninja Turtles to Viacom also meant that ninjaturtles.com would no longer be ran by Mirage Studios.  The website soon had an image showing that the new site was to be launched in 2011, as we watched a lot of the areas disappear from the website that we all knew and loved.  Though some cool areas remained, like the history of the old TV series and movies.  We waited for the new site.  But 2011 came and went with no new changes.  Finally, June 2012 the website changes, but is this change for the better?

First TMNT Trailer from Nickelodeon!

We’ve been waiting to say this! A new TMNT Trailer is up! This is the second time Nickelodeon has released a video to the fans, but this time it is not a Mutation in Progress video, this is the real deal! A trailer for the new cartoon. Finally, a chance for everyone to hear the new Turtle voices! So before we get into the details... watch this new trailer.

Now that you’ve seen the trailer, here’s my review. This is a teaser trailer, only giving us samples of the Turtles voices, fast flashes of scenes, bits of animation, and no idea on where the story is going. We see the comedy side of the show in this clip as they use a lot of Michelangelo. So I’ll start with Michelangelo.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!
