Cowabunga Corner 112: Review of TMNT 1

Welcome to episode 7 of Cowabunga Corner Season 5.  In this episode I give my review of the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie.  For me this is my favorite movie, as I love the plot, characters and the costumes.  The costumes were amazing in this film as Jim Henson is one of the best artist.  This is why I think they need to do more live action films with the Henson Company.

Review: Free Comic Book Day 2013

The first Saturday in May is a yearly event that people can enjoy. As Comic Book stores receive Free Comic Books to pass out to anyone who shows up. In the Detroit area each Comic Book store does their own thing and the event takes place in the store. This is how I thought it was done everywhere, though this year there was two events I wanted to go to that was out of state. I was in for a shock with how one town runs their free comic book day like a Holiday.

Michaelangelo - The spelling

When Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created the Ninja Turtles, they named them after the famous artist.  This is known through all of the different medias of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  And through the years there’s only one name that changed in the way they spell it.  From issue 1 of Mirage TMNT Volume 1, Michelangelo’s name was spelled Michaelangelo.  There was an a right after the h.  Though in 2000, there was a change to that spelling.  This was only mentioned once in character, in an area only the online fans know of.

Review & Comparison! OS TMNT 1 to Nick TMNT

013This is the day I would normally write a review about the newest episode of Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I would go on about the plots, characters, favorite scenes, and if I like or don’t like the changes made to characters in the show.  These are normally fun write ups sharing my inside view of the Nickelodeon series.  And while I wish I could say these are weekly, they’re not.  Nickelodeon every now and then takes a break, making us fans hold our breath just a little bit longer in waiting for the next installment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  So what do I do?  I re hatch the old series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Review: Paint and Pixel Festival 2012

There are some events I go too which are not really planned out.  For weeks I was planning to spend October 20th and 21st in Rhode Island for the Yu-Gi-Oh event.  Though during a visit to Northampton, MA with a few friends we learned of another event.  As Tokka and Fugitoid found a flyer in the Thrones Market for a local Art show.  The top of their Guest list, Peter Laird.  Going to be on the East Coast already, but I could not stay in Northampton.  We had to travel back down to New York City, I had to make the choice to spend the full weekend in Rhode Island or take Saturday for Northampton.  I made the wise choice of heading back up to Northampton.

Changes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Close your eyes, take in a deep breath.. with that breath take in everything you know about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Now release the breath letting that information go just for a little bit.  Remember that information will always be there, the old shows and comics are not erased.  They will remain in the public eyes for years to come.  Though now we get to see a new, and the best way to view something new is with fresh eyes and without comparison.  Nothing can and will replace your favorite media of Ninja Turtles, and the new is not looking to replace it.  The new is only opening doors for new fans, and giving us old fans something else to look into.

Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics, Vol. 1

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans were a bit surprised and disappointed when IDW released “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Ultimate Collection Vol. 3 as three issues of the Mirage Volume 1 were not in the book.  This still troubles me, though it seems IDW does have plans to release these books as a new book is coming to the shelves today,  “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics”, Volume 1.

Review: Ultimate TMNT collection Volume 3

One of my favorite things that IDW has been doing for us fans is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “The Ultimate Collection” books.  And Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection Volume 3 just came out last week!
