Cowabunga Corner #84: TMNT Comic Reading

Hey everyone

Review: IDW Color TMNT Classic #3

Mirage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume, the classics!  The start of it all.  If it were not for these comics we would of never had a game, cartoon, movies, toys and so much more.  Eastman and Laird brought these characters to life through print.  Through the years, sadly, the comics have become a lost art, until recently when IDW picked up the title of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and decided to reprint the original comics alongside with their brand new Ninja Turtle story.  The Ultimate collection is for the serious collectors who want the best details.

Cowabunga Corner #79 "Eastman Interview"

Hey everyone,

The Shape of a Turtle Chapter 1

Welcome to one of the fanfics that I have written for the TMNT mailing list last year. This story is told from the eyes of Leonardo, and has some of my own characters, in fact a lot of the characters in the W's and the four Shapers are my own characters. Hope you enjoy the story. A part from the story will come up each week.

Review: Color Classic TMNT #2

IDW Publishing has decided to release the Mirage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Comics in color, in May we got the Classic Color TMNT #1 and now we’ve gotten Classic Color TMNT #2.  This is not the first time that the 2nd issue of Mirage TMNT was printed in color.  The first company that brought us the color reprint was ‘First Graphic Novel”.  In the review of the IDW reprint, I will also compare between the graphic novel reprint.

Intro to "The Shape of a Turtle"

Hey everyone, coming soon to Cowabunga Corner is a fanfic I wrote back when I was still in High School, 1996 through 1997. I mainly wrote this throughout the day at school and copying it onto the computer when I got home. What gave me the idea of doing this story was making a fanfic that would crossover with some characters that I created back in 1991, "The Shapers".

Why do I like TMNT?

Ever since I became a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I have been asked, why do I like TMNT?  A question people seem most interested in, hoping that I have some strange answer that will bring it all to light.  Every fan has a different answer for this, as there’s so many different reasons to like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, be it their character designs, their weapons, their enemies, their personalities, their friends and so much more.  Though the real truth about this question is there is no real answer.  If I only liked one thing about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then most likely by now I would have moved into another fandom.  So in this write up I’m going to share the many things I like about the Turtles and why.

Review: Classic Color TMNT #1

Since the first Ninja Turtle comic came out in originally in black and white back in 1984, there has been two different color versions of the comic released.  Well, now we can make that three, as today IDW is releasing the first issue of Mirage TMNT as a color comic.  Though let’s talk a little about each of the releases here starting with the first time the Mirage Turtles were ever colored.

Review: "Turtle Power!" By Consumer Guide

When I first got into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I wanted to learn everything there was to know about them.  The best book was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Treasury.   Though there was another TMNT book that I used to help learn about the TMNT stuff out there.

Review: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Treasury"

Over the years many different books, webpages, interviews and stories have come out based on the origin of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Everyone has their favorites, including myself.  In the early 1990’s, I use to pick up everything I could find of Ninja Turtles, to try and learn as much as I could about them.
