Kodak Moment #74

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from the Words & Pictures Museum in 1996.

San Diego Comic Art Gallery

In August 1994 I made a trip to Northampton, Mass with my mother and sister.  We were only going to get photos of the outside of Mirage Studios, but found something so much more exciting to do.  We learned of the Words & Pictures Museum.  A museum owned by Kevin Eastman, and nicknamed by the residents as “The Turtle Museum”.  Inside there was original TMNT art, other amazing comic artwork, areas where people could draw and even a store.

Review: New York Comic Con 2015

Every year I try to make it out to New York Comic Con.  This is the second time where I did not think I was going to make it for the event, until the last month.  New York Comic Con is a huge event filled with panels, dealers, and guests.  For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans it’s become one of the best events to go too for a yearly dose of Turtle fun.  Here is my review of New York Comic Con 2015.

Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Secrets of the Sewers

Preliminary concept digital models, Sewer Lair—Common Room.If there’s one place I truly enjoy seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s in Museums.  The first time I saw this was the Words & Pictures Museum, which remains my favorite Museum I’ve ever been too.  They even had an Exhibit for the Next Mutation, and Turtles were always on display there.  Since then I do look and have found TMNT in a few other museum settings, but nothing like what is happening this year as The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has set up the “Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Secrets of the Sewer” Exhibit!

Review: TMNT Art Activity Set

There are a ton of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles products coming out help inspire creativity and artistic skills.  From coloring books, paint sets, and so much more.  Of course growing up in a family of artist, I fully support doing reviews on these artistic outlets.  This review is of a Nickelodeon theme TMNT activity set.

A fun set, and for young kids they won’t be as picky about the lack of colors as the older kids are.  It’s got stuff to keep kids entertained at a good low cost.  Of course to see my thoughts and reactions to these items please do watch the video.

January 2014 TMNT movie updates.

One thing that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies seem to do for it’s fans is leave us in suspense.  Not the type that we like either, while other movies promote and throw their characters in our faces for a year before a film is released to the public.  Ninja Turtle movies, like to wait and leave us begging for glances.  While some glances have gotten out, they were removed and now we all sit here waiting for the official releases.

Review: Paint and Pixel Festival 2012

There are some events I go too which are not really planned out.  For weeks I was planning to spend October 20th and 21st in Rhode Island for the Yu-Gi-Oh event.  Though during a visit to Northampton, MA with a few friends we learned of another event.  As Tokka and Fugitoid found a flyer in the Thrones Market for a local Art show.  The top of their Guest list, Peter Laird.  Going to be on the East Coast already, but I could not stay in Northampton.  We had to travel back down to New York City, I had to make the choice to spend the full weekend in Rhode Island or take Saturday for Northampton.  I made the wise choice of heading back up to Northampton.

Cowabunga Corner #94: Words and Pictures Parties

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Toys!

On the evening of July 3rd, I got a message on Facebook from PangGo asking if I've seen the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys and how they're being found at Toys R Us.  This news was a bit of a shock for me, as we've been told we won't see them until August.  Though it was too late in the evening to run out to Toys R Us.   So on July 4th I went to Toys R Us.  At this time, I am on a road trip as we're making our way to San Diego for Comic Con International.  So the Toys R Us I went to is in Mesa, AZ.
