Cars 2 : Movie Review

With the success of most CGI movies these day, it was only a matter of time before the ‘Cars’ movie got its sequel.  Lightning McQueen will make his return to the big screen with all of his friends to learn another life lesson.  Fans of all of the original characters of the first movie will probably enjoy this movie and a good fun well rounded movie for all fans to enjoy. Knowing Disney and Pixar’s history with Toy Story, one could hope that they could keep that kind of feeling going with the Cars franchise, as well.

Green Lantern: Movie Review

And for a third time this summer, a comic book movie has hit theaters. This time shedding a little green light on the screen.

Super 8: Movie Review

Those of us who were born in the late 70s and early 80s all have one thing in common, we grew up watching a true master of cinema, Steven Spielberg, and his tellings of E.T., Goonies, Indiana Jones, Jaws, and so many more iconic classics. Spielberg has taken on the roles of director, writer, and producer of countless films in the last four decades. Many filmmakers look up to him as their inspiration, one of them being J.J. Abrams, writer and director of Super 8.

Back in the early 1990s, I found a cartoon on the Fox Channel on Saturday mornings. X-Men: The Animated Series. It had caught my attention mainly because a decade earlier, I watched Spider-man and his Amazing Friends which occasionally featured the X-Men. Right from the start, I found myself hooked and dearly loving the cartoon.

Kung Fu Panda 2 : Movie Review

In 2008, the original Kung Fu Panda movie came to theaters.  When I saw the movie, I felt like something was missing from it, yet it was still somewhat enjoyable.  I did not see the movie again until recently when my nephews started to watch the movie. I did find it had that appeal that when the movie was on I would stop to watch it for a bit.

Hangover 2 : Movie Review

Every once in awhile a comedy comes that’s just so wrong all the way through it, that they can get away with the most offensive things and make it work.  The original Hangover movie, which came out in 2009, was one of those movies with jokes that were so horrible, adventures they went through that was so awful, and the things they did that was just insane.  All off that is what made the movie work so well.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" Review

Disney has been riding the wave of success with their Pirates of the Caribbean movies.  Three very successful movies have come and gone that were closely tied together with a flowing plot that brought you from one movie into the next.  With adventure, comedy, and great effects, the movies made their mark in the box offices.  Of course it did not hurt that they all starred named actors like Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.

Thor: Movie Review

The comic book superhero movie genre is a tricky genre to truly master for maximum audience entertainment. Though each summer for almost a decade, superhero movies have dominated the big screen. This year is certainly no different with at least four main superhero movies coming out between May and August.
