Movie Review: Rio

Endangered birds, last of their kind, are brought together to mate and save their race.  Though there’s some people out to get the birds for the money they’ll bring in.  Can the birds get away from the threat and learn to love each other?  That’s what the movie Rio is about.

Concert Review: Elton John Greatest Hits Live

It’s not often I go to concerts, but when I do go, I prefer to go to concerts that I thought I would never have gotten a chance to ever see. There are not a lot of concerts in the area I live that just draw me in to spend $50 or more per ticket.

Movie Review: Insidious

There's nothing I love more than a good scary movie, with genuine scares rather than "jump scares." That type of movie seems to be a rare find these days, which is why I prefer the classics like The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby and other films of that era. Movies in this day and time would rather have you jumping out of your seats at that very moment than be truly scared and bring home the terrified feeling.

Review: Killer B's

The first Thursday of every month a people gather at the Main Arts Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan for an event that gets everyone to howl.  This event is called “The Killer B's” where Wolfman Mac from Chiller Drive-In and his crew host a really bad movie and get to mingle with the fans who show up.  Every time I’m in town for this event, I make sure to attend, for the laughter, the boos, and hitting a beach ball around.

TMNT 2012 Series ; Mutation in Progress

In the last week Turtle fans have been hit with a lot of news a select group of fans was chosen to go to Nickelodeon to have a sneak peek at the Mutation in Progress itself.  They were treated with hotel, food and even gifts from Nickelodeon.  These lucky people got to share their feedback on what they thought of the things that were shown to them.  Now, some of them are sharing their stories with the rest of the fans.

Movie Review: Source Code

Source Code is a story about a solider who wakes up in another man’s body with a mission to find a bomb and bomber on a train before it explodes and leads to another explosion in Chicago. Captain Colter Stevens has only 8 minutes to locate the bomb before his mind is sent back into his body, and to repeat those 8 minutes until his mission is complete. Through the use of quantum mechanics, the government has made this mind and time jump possible and has employed Captain Stevens as a counter terrorism agent.

IDW now behind TMNT Comics!

On April 1st, IDW Publishing announced that they have received the rights to publish new Ninja Turtle comics!  The curious thing I find about this is that they’re doing comics based on the ‘original’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as they keep bringing up Eastman and Laird in the press release.  So are their comics going to be based on the original Mirage story line or the original cartoon story line?

Movie Review: Hop

Easter. One of those holidays that come around every year which millions of people take part in.  With a very religious history to it, it’s still has a light and kid friendly theme to the holiday itself.  Over the years, much like Christmas, the religious side to Easter is covered up a lot by the hype as all the stores sell Easter bunnies, peeps, and Easter egg coloring sets.  The one area where I never felt Easter touched that most other holidays have gotten down for children is movies.

Movie Review: Paul

Aliens, something people have thought about and declared to see for decades now.  There’s talk of strange sightings in the sky, people who swear they’ve been taken, those who’ve said they witness crashes and so much more.  So many alien stories.  Though a lot of them lead back to the idea that “Aliens are being held at Area 51”.  For TMNT fans, we’ve had this mentioned before as well. Readers of the Archie Ninja Turtle comics would remember that there was a full adventure based on this, and viewers of the 4Kids series would know that Season 4 brought Area 51 into the picture where Bishop was stationed.

Movie Review: Rango
