Review: Toy Fair Day 2

Toy Fair 2014 was a big event that offered a lot of cool stuff.  The second day kept us just as busy going around as the first day.  It started off very early as Mattel was doing a Press panel that went over their new lines of toys for 2014.  We also had a handful of other interesting things going on, that got Miki and I to pack up and walk over there early.  Check in was easy and we got a press kit, before heading into the panel.

Review: Nick TMNT #32 "Target: April O'Neil"

In Season one April O’Neil was clearly shown not only to be friend to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she is also the target of the Kraang.  Which makes her all the more interest for Karai, who is out to destroy the Turtles.  Now with the new Foot Bots, Kara is not going to sit back she wants to destroy the Turtles.  Is April truly safe, living a life without the Turtles by her side?  Here is my review of Nickelodeon’s TMNT episode “Target: April O’Neil”

Toy Fair 2014 - Sunday Top Toy

Toy Fair 2014 is going on with so much Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles products all around.  It’s hard to pick and choose favorites.  On this day we visited a lot of booths that had Turtles, which is what we will do each day.  And while I will do full booth reviews and coverage like I did last year, this year I also wanted to pick a favorite toy each day based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  These are my personal favorites.

Review: TMNT 2014 Valentines Lenticular

Only a few more days till Valentine's Day and we still have more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff to share with everyone.  It’s funny how much they can really do different at stores for Ninja Turtles Valentines as Nickelodeon is going all out to give us different products from different companies.  One of those companies is Paper Magic Group which brought us some of my favorite new products, the Ninja Turtles Mailboxes.  I am now looking at the TMNT Lenticular Valentines, which is also made by Paper Magic Group.

Review: TMNT Fruit by the Foot 2014

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles history we've had TMNT Fruit snacks, crackers, pasta and even pizza.  One thing I personally never saw before is TMNT Fruit by the Foot, until now.  This is a product recently found in stores that is long over due for TMNT.  Here is my review of the TMNT Fruit by the Foot.

Review: Nick TMNT #29 "Follow the Leader"

Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has been an amazing ride and still going with new episodes all the time.  While I’ve been working at giving the fullest of reviews, I noticed that I have fallen behind with real life stuff eating away at my time.  Making my long reviews much harder to write, as I do not have the time to go into the full details that I enjoy giving.  To help us catch up on some much needed reviews, I am going to change up my review format.  If people have questions about parts of the show that I do not get to cover, just ask in the comment section.  This reviews is about episode 29 “Follow the Leader”.

Review: TMNT Fruit Snacks 2013

There has been a lot of new stuff on the market during 2013.  One of those items is not really so new to the fandom, only thing new is the packaging.  It’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fruit snacks.  A good friend of mine in May gave me a box for my birthday and I got really excited.  Now I want to share that with everyone here in this review as I open my first box of Fruit Snacks.

Review: Nick TMNT #27 "The Mutation Situation"

What a season, so much Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merch released this year that there was no way to have a review from every item that came out.  I hope that everyone enjoyed all of the reviews that we did share, with great toys.  With the Holiday Season done we are going to try and focus the site back on the Nickelodeon Cartoon and the IDW Comics, as well as keeping the toy reviews coming.  In February 2014 Toy Fair is coming up, which means that toys are still a high focus point for us here at Cowabunga Corner.

Memory of James Avery

One could hope for some good news for starting off the New Year.  Though times remain to be rough all around.  Today, I write this with a heavy heart. I want to wish the family James Avery my deepest condolences.  While I have never met James, his talents and career has touched my life more than once.  He will be deeply missed.

James passed away on December 31st, 2013.  He recently had a surgery and things turned for the worse according to a TMZ report.  James was 65 years old, born on November 27th 1948.

Review: TMNT Bathtub Dartboard

With a lot of reviews filmed, it’s only right to keep them coming.  This review is for something different, which seems like a seasonal item.  This is a bathtub toy, based on the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  One of which I’ve personally never owned before, it is a TMNT dartboard.
