Random Collection #35

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection.  This one is about “Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Kampen Mot Soltjuvarna” record book.

Interview: TMNT 2014 by Kidrobot

At Toy Fair 2014 we visited a lot of different booths with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles products.  One of the really cool booths was Kidrobot.  They had these toys based on the original TMNT cartoon with characters like Bebop and Rocksteady!  Just one of the areas that we had to check more into for the collectors out there who want to know.  Here is our interview about these awesome new toys.

Review: Nick TMNT #34 "The Good, the Bad and Casey Jones"

With a hockey masked pulled over his face, he beats the bad guys making them pay for all of their crimes.  His weapons are that you can find in a sports store, from baseball bat to golf club.  His mark has been made on most properties of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  His temper usually brings him closer to Raphael as a friend.  His goal is to keep the streets of New York clean of scum.  First introduced in the Mirage solo issue for Raphael, he landed his spot in the cartoons, toys and movies!  Now Casey Jones finds his way into the Nickelodeon Cartoon as the crime fighter we all know him for being.  Here is my review of “The Good, The Bad and Casey Jones”.

Toy Fair 2014 Interview: Funko

In 2013 Funko released their POP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toy line!  At Toy Fair 2014 we learned that there is more coming.  As TMNT was seen through their booth we had to find out all the juicy details about this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gold mine of goodies!  This is an interview we did at Toy Fair to find out what we can for our fellow fans!

Review: POP TMNT

One thing that is happening more and more is collector items that adults can enjoy based on their favorite versions of tv series and comics.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans have been seeing this with the NECA TMNT toy line, cool weird items at Hot Topic and Spencers Gifts, and now the Playmates Toys Classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line.  Funko jumped on board with their POP Television Vinyl figures.  Releasing six of the Classic Toon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters.  Here is my review of these awesome toys from 2013.

Review: Nick TMNT #33 "Slash and Destroy"

There are a lot of characters for the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon coming back for Nickelodeon’s TMNT series.  Each one bringing on a new look, a new history, and even new personalities.  With all these new introductions to characters we already know, fears can come up if they change someone to away we will not enjoy.  One of those fears came to me, when I found out last year that Spike, Raphael’s pet was going to turn into Slash.  This episode was not riding well with me, all the way up to the day it aired.  How could they turn Spike into a bad guy?  Nickelodeon took me by surprise and did not let me down.  Here is my review of “Slash and Destroy”.

Review: Toy Fair Day 2

Toy Fair 2014 was a big event that offered a lot of cool stuff.  The second day kept us just as busy going around as the first day.  It started off very early as Mattel was doing a Press panel that went over their new lines of toys for 2014.  We also had a handful of other interesting things going on, that got Miki and I to pack up and walk over there early.  Check in was easy and we got a press kit, before heading into the panel.

Review: Nick TMNT #32 "Target: April O'Neil"

In Season one April O’Neil was clearly shown not only to be friend to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she is also the target of the Kraang.  Which makes her all the more interest for Karai, who is out to destroy the Turtles.  Now with the new Foot Bots, Kara is not going to sit back she wants to destroy the Turtles.  Is April truly safe, living a life without the Turtles by her side?  Here is my review of Nickelodeon’s TMNT episode “Target: April O’Neil”
