CCN - Interview with Tom Waltz 2013

August 2013 TMNT Comic Giveaway

IDW is doing a wonderful job with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  Written by Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman we get to see as the Turtles are brought through with a whole new history and adventures.  We have been lucky to get to spend some time with the creative team behind the IDW Comics and recently got some Comic books to share with the fandom.  The stack of Comics we have received are all autographed by Tom Waltz.

Review: IDW TMNT Villain Micro Series Karai

The IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series has been building up a tension between Karai and the Shredder for some time now.  As Tom Waltz talks about our interview we shared earlier this year.  We have learned that she is the one who brought Oroku Saki back, that she is the one who fixed the Foot Clan to be what it use to be.  As much that we have learned about her, it was not till today’s issue of TMNT that we get to learn what inspired her and how she went about doing all that she has done.  In the TMNT Villain Micro Series issue #5 Karai’s history is revealed.  Here is my review of this awesome issue of IDW TMNT!

SDCCI: IDW TMNT Panel 2013

Comic Con International had four TMNT panels this year.  The first of these four was the IDW Panel based on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books written by Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman.  This panel was to discuss the future of the TMNT series, what we've known, what we don't know and where they're going.  How characters came into the story and how the story could change through the different writers.

Review: IDW TMNT #24

This last weekend I got to go Comic Con International and saw some of the most awesome panels one of which was the IDW TMNT panel where they shared even more about what is coming up for the new IDW TMNT Comics.  The excitement is at full throttle as I sit here on the edge of my seat.  With knowing all the cool stuff to come, we sit and wait for it one Comic at a time.  Today in markets one of these issues is hitting the stand.  This is issue 24 which continues with the “City War” storyline.  I will share the news from San Diego Comic Con soon.  First here is my review of IDW TMNT #24.

Cowabunga Corner 109: Review IDW 11 to 15

Welcome to episode 4 of Cowabunga Corner Season 5.  In this episode I share a review of issues 11 to 15 of the IDW TMNT Comic Books.  These comics have truly been outstanding with the work of Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman on writing.  The passion behind it is clear and the story just draws the reader into it.  I share here my thoughts on the story, art and characters.

Review: IDW TMNT #23

In the original cartoon series, Shredder did not try to kill the Turtles right away.  He offered for them to join him.  This was used again in the 4Kids series.  Each time Shredder has tried to win the Turtles over to his side he has failed, and soon decides to destroy them.  In the IDW comics we have a different situation where Shredder knows the Turtles from their previous life.  He does not want just any Turtle, he wants Leonardo.  He has a goal set and is aimed to get it.  In TMNT #22, Leonardo was caught by the Shredder.  So here comes the question that everyone has.  How will Shredder get Leonardo by his side?

Review: IDW Micro Series Villains Hob

In the first issue of IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles we learned of a new villain. This mutant cat who was out to destroy the Turtles. He hated them, and had some history with the Turtles. Though the question often rises why this cat is as bad as he was. Now IDW is sharing with us their Villian Micro Series helping wrapping up some of the questions. This month's TMNT Micro Series issue is all about Old Hob.

Review: IDW TMNT #22 "City Fall" 1

IDW started off in 2011 with their first TMNT storyline, showing us the new version of the Ninja Turtles. Next we got to know more of Stockman and see the build up to the Shredder. Keeping us pulled in the full time, as we got up to the Krang War going to Dimension X.
