I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that have been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is a shot of the back of the panel room before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles voice actor panel started

February is here, the month of romance as Valentines Day takes over.  Even those of us here at Cowabunga Corner want to give something away for our viewers.  As a special giveaway for the month we have a 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Valentines Day card signed by Rob Paulsen.  Rob is the voice of Donatello on Nickelodeon’s TMNT series.  This card was just signed during the summer of 2013 and is searching for a new home. Giveaway ends on Friday, February 7th, 2014.

One could hope for some good news for starting off the New Year.  Though times remain to be rough all around.  Today, I write this with a heavy heart. I want to wish the family James Avery my deepest condolences.  While I have never met James, his talents and career has touched my life more than once.  He will be deeply missed.

James passed away on December 31st, 2013.  He recently had a surgery and things turned for the worse according to a TMZ report.  James was 65 years old, born on November 27th 1948.

In 1996 I made friends with a woman who took the nickname Leonardo on TMNT-L. Before knowing her, I went to SiFi conventions only, though she introduced me to comic book conventions. The first Comic Con I went to was Mid-Ohio Comic Con, I’ve only been to that event a few times.
